At Short Breaks Banstead, we provide respite care breaks for people with a range of needs and offer all the support you need in a high quality, purpose built environment. All delivered by trained, qualified and caring staff.
 
Our respite service is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac. The village is a few minutes walk away where there are a variety of shops, including restaurants, a hair salon, a health clinic, a chemist and a post office. There are also colleges for supported learner courses nearby.

 

When staying with us you will be able to make the most of our completely accessible newly refurbished building, which includes a lounge, quiet area, dining area, adapted bath, overhead tracking and hoisting equipment and fully accessible gardens. When staying one night or more, you’ll be booked into one of the six well equipped bedrooms.

Come along to a Woodwork taster sessions at Lockwood Activity Centre to learn all about the art of woodworking!

Visitors to our centre, based on Westfield Road in Guildford, will have the opportunity to extend their skills and acquire the knowledge of how to transform secondhand pieces of wood into new and exciting items, from garden features such as bird tables and planters, to key rings and wooden toys for children.

Apprenticeship fulfils lifetime dream for Lewis

A lifetime dream has been fulfilled for a 21-year-old man with Asperger’s syndrome and autism after he secured an apprenticeship with Channel 4.

Since leaving college, Lewis Barlow-Hyde aspired to work within the media industry but he never believed that he would realise his dreams due to the barriers he felt he had to overcome.
