
Baking skills were put to the test as Fernleigh hosted their own charity fundraiser baking competition in their newly refurbished kitchen area.

The Fernleigh Bake Off saw Team A make a life-like Pudsey Bear face cake whilst Team B constructed a dessert in the shape of a hot air balloon, complete with orange balloon. All proceeds collecting from the day went to BBC Children in Need appeal.

Since the kitchen revamp, the popular evening Supper Club have enjoyed weekly sessions to shop, cook and eat together. Dishes served up have included sausage and mash, chicken pie and apple cake. All participants in the Supper Club get a chance to build on their skills and have a say in what they should cook in the following week.
