Surrey Choices renews Disability Confident Leader status
The people we support have been learning new skills at home whilst our colleagues continue to provide Zoom sessions and drop in visits in line with social distancing. Someone our EmployAbility Team supports began his own museum at home during lockdown to keep busy!
It’s safe to say that during the pandemic, many people have a lot more time on their hands! Rhys Slater, one of our EmployAbility customers has certainly used this to his advantage and he has created something positive.
Rhys has a passion for Militaria. He explained that it is very important for people to remember and respect our fallen soldiers, family and friends.
Over the years, Rhys has collected memorabilia from the past. He has put together this incredible museum in his own back garden. He is continuing to develop his collection and he has plans to open this to the public, so that everyone can learn about this period of time in our history and celebrate Rhys’ hard work.
