What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love looking after my six grandchildren who keep me very busy! I also like reading, travelling, learning about new cultures and languages.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Looking forward to each day with all the new challenges it presents.
What three words would you use to describe your role at Surrey Choices?
Challenging, rewarding and caring.
What do you most like about your job each day?
Seeing the achievements and confidence of the people we support and enabling people to have a voice and choice.
What is something new you have learnt since working within Community Choices?
How different people are when in a different environment suited to them.
What is a recent professional achievement of yours?
Being an IT lead at Surrey Choices. I really enjoy being able to use my knowledge and help out my colleagues when they are stuck.
What is something you look forward to seeing at Surrey Choices?
Becoming even more community based over the coming months. Seeing the outcomes and benefits for the people we support within Community Choices is so rewarding and worthwhile.
Where is your favourite place in the world?
This is a hard question as I have a few! If I must pick, I would have to choose Cuba or Morocco.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
It has got to be my family.
