Our Colleague Spotlight feature is on Sarah Tavener, who is a Senior Community Support. Read Sarah’s interview below to learn about her career progression with Surrey Choices and much more!
How long have you worked at Surrey Choices?
Over four years now. I started as a Bank Community Support Worker (CSW) in Woking, before becoming an Assistant CSW and then a CSW at Woking Resource Centre. A year in, I applied for a secondment with Camberley Community Group as a Senior. I loved my time there and we work really well as a team there. The people we support are fantastic too. Unfortunately, it was a temporary role and I wanted the security of a permanent position. After a lot of thought I applied for a Senior role at Woking Resource Centre as I enjoyed working there before with the team and was sad to leave so why not go back, and I got the job!
