Recently the board of Surrey Choices held its first ever virtual board meeting. One of the reports presented by the Executive Team was about how Surrey Choices has responded to the Coronavirus crisis.
Surrey Choices Board Members were impressed with how staff have been coping and adjusting to supporting people and communities. Board Chair, Councillor Clare Curran passed on the below message to Surrey Choices Managing Director, Mette Le Jakobsen on behalf of the board in recognition of everyone’s efforts:
Phrases such as ‘unprecedented times’ and ‘huge learning curve’ may now be common parlance around the globe but, on behalf of the board of directors of Surrey Choices, I would like to express our genuine appreciation for the resourcefulness, flexibility and commitment that you have shown in adjusting to the changes in your ways of working as the organisation has responded to COVID-19. We have heard from Mette Le Jakobsen that this has been a superb community effort and we are sure that this is appreciated by clients, their families and carers just as it is by us.We are all coming to terms with the changed circumstances and the directors are working closely with the Executive team as the situation continues to unfold. For now, I wish you and your loved ones good health in the weeks ahead.
With heartfelt thanks and best wishes,
Clare
