Our talented customers have been presented with certificates in celebration of their commitment to trampolining during Rebound Therapy sessions at Lockwood.
Twenty individuals enrolled on the Winstrada trampolining development programme were recognised, receiving grades between levels one to six.
Paul Dawson, Activity Facilitator, commented: “Today was a fantastic testament to the effort and commitment people have put in to trampolining.
“Everyone put on a brilliant show and the awards they received are fully deserved. It’s great to see people so happy and coming together through this. I hope it will continue and we will see people develop even further.”
Rebound Therapy is the use of trampolines to provide therapeutic exercise and recreation for people with a wide range of support needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments and people with autistic spectrum conditions.
We first introduced sport to customers in September 2015 and it has gone on to become one of our most popular activities.
The exercise helps to promote balance, facilitate movement, increase or decrease muscle tone and aids relaxation and sensory integration. The sport has also helped some of our customers who don’t use verbal communication to increase their vocalisation.
