We’re Celebrating Multiple Wins at the Surrey Care Awards
Customers from Surrey Choices teed up for a day of sporting fun at the Community Golf Fun Day at Epsom Golf Club.
The 80 enthusiastic golf players, from Surrey Choices, took over the Epsom Golf Club for the Community Golf Fun Day on Thursday 21 July.
Surrey Choices have customers from 10 centres who work closely with Community Golf, a company who delivers a diverse range of golf activation projects to inspire people of all abilities and ages to get involved in the game.
The Fun Day was a culmination of an all year round golf programme for Surrey Choices customers from across the county, who have been playing golf for 20-30 weeks in the autumn, spring and summer leagues.
The fun day involved playing a variety of games and competitions across the club, followed by a buffet. There was a presentation ceremony to round off the day, marking the end of the league, with all participates receiving a medal and certificate.
Speaking of the fun day, Surrey Choices Associate Business Development Director, Moya McGinley, said: “The day was a great success and it was really lovely to see our customers come together from across the county. It was a really fun day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
I would like to say a big thank you to Epsom Golf club for the use of their fantastic facilities and Community Golf who have worked so tirelessly to make golf accessible to our customers. A special well done to Dorking Community Project, who not only came first on the day but also won the overall league.”
