Developing Skills and Relationships for the DofE Expedition
Our Future Choices, Duke of Edinburgh group met up at High Ashurst for a day outdoor cooking, Team building, planning, and sharing ideas.
Duke of Edinburgh Award
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is about personal achievement and all of the team are working so hard to reach their goals. Whether its Lego Building, Cycling, Martial Arts, Eco Hub work, the young people are showing just how talented and committed they are to achieving this award.
Working Together
At a recent cookout, they learnt many new skills such as foraging, cooking on an open fire, how to connect with the outside world, how to form new friendships, and co-operation.
The team are inspiring each other and working together to bring out the best in one another. They should be very proud of how quickly they have become an effective team. They are rising to new challenges every day and becoming more and more independent.
“They are breaking down barriers at every level, showing the world that difference doesn’t mean less, it means finding new ways of thinking and new skills to bring this amazing adventure and expedition together” – Ruth Warren
