A Round of Apple-ause

The Growth Team have been hard at work looking at how they could use the skills they have developed over the past few months to give back to their community.

While working at a community orchard which the Growth Team help to maintain, two members of the team, Robbie and Luke, had the idea to pick and collect some of the apples and donate them to Hale Community Fridge in Farnham.

Robbie and Luke worked together to identify good quality apples, as well as showing less experienced members of the team what to look out for so everyone could get involved. They also put together a plan to transport the apples safely so that they would not get damaged on the journey.

Sue, who works at Hale Community Centre, was delighted to receive the apples and Robbie and Luke were very proud to do something positive for their community.
