Speedy Gonzal-Ed
Edward is currently being supported by our EmployAbility service in the East of Surrey. He volunteers at Stripey Stork and Oxfam where he is learning valuable skills to achieve paid employment.
Edward wanted to take his commitment to supporting these charities beyond his working hours and decided he would raise money for them, and a hospice that is close to his heart!
Last weekend Edward took part in the Reigate 5K run to raise money for all 3 organisations. Prior to this, Ed began to train himself at the YMCA Gym. He was extremely committed and set himself a strict workout routine. This dedication helped him to prepare him for his 5K challenge.
Employment Support Specialist, Deborah Griffin said:
Ed did it! 30 minutes and 20 seconds! His family are very proud of him. He was in the top third of over 300 people in the 5K
Ed has currently raised a combined £405 so far which is a fantastic achievement. The fundraising pages are still open if you would like to donate.
