A Decade of Difference: Surrey Choices Celebrates 10 Years
Following a review of the demand for our services over the festive period, we are revising the days on which Surrey Choices will be providing a service.
Community Choices and Flexi-Choices
Community Choices will now not be providing routine support on Wednesday 29, Thursday 30 and Friday 31 December. Therefore, the service will not be operational on the following days:
- Christmas Day, Saturday 25 December
- Boxing Day, Sunday 26 December
- Bank Holiday, Monday 27 December
- Bank Holiday, Tuesday 28 December
- Wednesday 29 December
- Thursday 30 December
- Friday 31 December
- New Year’s Day, Saturday 1 January
- Sunday 2 January
- Bank Holiday, Monday 3 January
The mainline will be open as usual with the exception of bank holidays. You can contact the mainline on this number: 01483 806806
Ordinary service will then recommence from Tuesday 4 January 2022.
If this causes exceptional hardship to individuals, families or Carers, they can contact their local service and we will endeavour to assist.
Vocational Projects
Will continue to provide support throughout the festive period, subject to demand, except on the dates listed above.
EmployAbility and Future Choices
Will continue to operate throughout the festive period as required, except for Bank Holidays; the only exception to this will be where direct support is required for someone who needs it to maintain their employment.
Short Breaks Banstead
Short Breaks Banstead will be closed from 2pm on Friday 24 December and will reopen at 12pm on Tuesday 28 December.
Shared Lives
Will continue to operate throughout the festive period. The team will provide office cover throughout, except on Bank Holidays and weekends, when an on-call arrangement will be in place.
Travel Choices
Travel Choices will take a break from Saturday 25 December through to
3 January, resuming service on Tuesday 4 January. Staff may be required to be redeployed to other service areas should the need arise.
