Individual Spotlight: Marc
In July this year, students from Cordwalles Junior School worked in collaboration with Surrey Choices Rhythmic Collision Dance Company to perform Rhythm of Life, an annual dance show which this year celebrated friendship and inclusion.
Cavan has participated in Rhythm of Life for two years at her former school, Cordwalles Junior School. She has now moved onto secondary school and recently had a birthday. Out of her birthday money, Cavan decided she wanted to spend it on gifts for a friend, her friend is Debbie from Rhythmic Collision. Cavan is so very fond of Debbie and says she thinks of her often.She put together a lovely bag of gifts for Debbie who was beyond delighted to open them this week.
Helen-Louise Lampard, Senior Activities Facilitator at Rhythmic Collision Dance Company, said:
“My heart swells with pride at this friendship and shows the project has a wonderful effect with the children which will probably last a lifetime. I am often surrounded by the children at the school gate all asking when the next project will begin and genuine smiles of excitement when I reply next May.”
