Love and Light Tree provides wellbeing boost
Colleagues recently supported people at Fernleigh to come up with a project that could boost each other’s mental health and wellbeing.
The group were inspired by the fallen leaves around Fernleigh and came up with the idea of a Love and Light Tree, which they could make and bring indoors in to the warmth. They started by discussing what kind of words make them feel happy and good about themselves, such as “kind”, “cheerful”, “helpful”, “funny”, “peace” and many more.
Once they decided on the words, they went outside and collected lots of fallen leaves and wrote these words on them. They then stuck the leaves to a hand-painted tree and hung it up on the wall for all to see. Everyone involved in this project had a wonderful time lifting each other’s spirits. The tree acts as a wellbeing boost, where people can come and read the positive words.
