We regret to announce the resignation of our Managing Director, Mette Le Jakobsen. After four and a half years of dedicated service to Surrey Choices, Mette has been appointed to the role of Director: Adult Social Care at Bristol City Council and will be leaving us at the end of May 2023.
Mette has been an integral part of Surrey Choices, leading the organisation in delivering our Changing Days programme, innovating and creating new opportunities, and expanding our offer to new communities. Her passion and commitment has improved the lives of disabled and autistic people in Surrey and helped Surrey Choices to go from strength to strength as an organisation.
Jane Earl, Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Surrey Choices Board says;
“We are very proud of everything Mette has achieved for Surrey Choices, and we are delighted that she is making this next significant career move. The Board of Surrey Choices, in consultation with Surrey County Council, will be making arrangements for an Interim Managing Director and will also press on with recruitment to the permanent Managing Director role. Our priority is to ensure a smooth transition in the interest of the people we support, their families and the wider Surrey Choices Community.
I hope that we will all have the chance to thank Mette in person before she leaves us for the many things which she, and all of you have achieved.”
We want to take this opportunity to thank Mette for her outstanding work and leadership over the years and wish her all the best in her new role at Bristol City Council.
