Neil thrives in new job
For many years Neil worked in large supermarkets as a retail assistant and thrived in his role. Unfortunately Neil developed epilepsy and became unable to work. It has taken time but while Neil still suffers from seizures, they are less frequent and he felt ready to begin searching for a new role within the retail industry.
Neil met with his Employment Support Specialist, Lauren, and together they put together an up-to-date CV. Next they carried out interview practice in preparation for applying for jobs and interviews. A colleague put Lauren in touch with Aramark, and before long Neil had an interview and trial shift in a shop at Keogh Barracks.
Trial shift and Travel Training
Neil proved himself in this role and was offered a permanent paid position. Neil practiced using public transport to get to and from work with Lauren and is now extremely confident travelling to his job independently.
Neil said:
I thoroughly enjoy being back in paid employment and having a routine a solid weekly routine once again.
