We are inviting people to consider a career in care and to find out more about our unique ‘Personal Assistance’ service.
At Surrey Choices, we support people with a range of abilities to find the best care, activities and services for their needs across Surrey.
We are looking to recruit Personal Assistants in Guildford, Epsom, Godalming, Lightwater, Cobham and Redhill. We are particularly keen to recruit men and women between the ages of 20-30 to be part of the service as we are keen to match our customers with Support Workers who have similar interests.
The PA service aims to improve the independence, confidence and life skills of Surrey Choices customers in their homes and communities. It will provide them with the opportunity to access their local area, learn life skills, and support with personal care needs.
The service will match people with customers who meet their availability and location criteria, as well as looking at the customers’ support needs and aspirations so they can best utilise each individual’s skills and experience, for the perfect match. The role offers flexible working hours, on-going training and excellent rates of pay.

“Our Personal Assistance service is often misunderstood, so we are pleased to be able to offer people an opportunity to talk to us face to face and find out more about the fantastic people they could be matched with.
“Some people think it is an administrative role, or that they need lots of care experience. In reality, we’re looking for people with the right kind of values and who genuinely want to support somebody to fulfil their potential. That could mean supporting someone to learn a new skill, enjoying fun activities or merely providing the companionship that can be so valuable to somebody who lives alone.
“We support a wide range of people and we take our time to carefully match people with similar interests. In addition, the flexible hours mean it can be ideal for parents or people who already have another job.”
Surrey Choices is holding a recruitment event on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th at Noke Drive Activity Centre (Monday) and Lockwood Activity Centre (Tuesday) between 9.00am-3.00pm, which will give people the opportunity to find out more information about the roles.
