Christmas has come early this year for our team at Short Breaks Banstead! In their latest inspection from the Care Quality Commission in October 2019, we are delighted that the team have received a ‘Good’ rating.
Short Breaks Banstead provide respite for those with care and support needs, working with families to create a personalised support plan for the person the team is supporting to offer a high quality level of care. Following on from the inspection on Thursday 10 October 2019, the team are very pleased that their hard work has paid off from previously receiving the ‘Requires Improvement’ rating to now being ‘Good’.
Short Breaks Banstead is just a short walk from the town centre, where there are lots of shops and things to do. The service offers six bright, modern bedrooms and the property is wheelchair accessible with profile beds if required. The needs of the people who use the service are fully met and opportunities provided to enhance their lives was highlighted within the CQC report:
The service has been developed and designed in line with the principles and values that underpin Registering the Right Support and other best practice guidance. This ensures that people who use the service can live as full a life as possible and achieve the best possible outcomes. The principles reflect the need for people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live meaningful lives that include control, choice, and independence.
Congratulations and well done to Hannah and the team for their continued great practice.
