We’re Celebrating Multiple Wins at the Surrey Care Awards
KB was supported by Short Breaks for over five years and recently moved onto a permanent Supported Living setting.
Whilst receiving support from Short Breaks, together KB and colleagues came up with a number of new tools and resources to increase KB’s independence, to prepare him for living more independently.
With the rise in assistive technology, KB began trialling using an Amazon Alexa at Short Breaks which he quickly fell in love with. He was often found talking to Alexa during his stays and has helped with completing tasks.
