Valuable leadership skills learnt on two day project
James wanted some support to improve his focus on tasks he carries out with The Growth Team. James was asked by colleague Richard Lilley to lead a project of his own, so he could practice working on one job at a time.
The project involved James restoring a woodland path at an estate the Team are currently working at. His project involved making decisions as to what tools, equipment, material and how many people he needed to help with the task.
Outcomes
James took great pride in completing the project and developed his employment skills of scheduling, decision making and leading a team. He enjoyed it immensely and is now looking forward to taking on another project where he can lead others.
“It was hard work renovating a woodland path approximately 100 meters long. He looked after his crew really well for the two days it took to complete. To see the pride that James took in his project was an absolute pleasure!” Richard Lilley, The Growth Team
