As a Senior Community Support Worker, you will fulfil all the functions of the Community Support Worker alongside supporting the safe and effective delivery of the service through responsibility for staff supervision and development.
This role will be split between supporting people directly, managerial and supervisory duties and responsibilities as directed by the Team Manager or Area Operations Manager. Working under the direction of the designated Team Manager you will support their management and the development of the designated service.
You will provide responsive person centred support that enables people with a range of needs to work towards and achieve their own personal goals in an inclusive environment. As a Senior Community Support Worker, you will role-model good practice and support and guide others.
You will give due regard to an individual’s absolute right to be in control of and involved in all aspects of their care and support and ensure their privacy, safety, dignity and respect.
In the spirit of collaboration and multi-agency partnerships, this will involve working with an individual and their support networks, including professionals and informal Carers.
