This month, we sat down with Emma, who works in our HR Department here at Surrey Choices. Scroll down to find out some interesting facts about Emma!
Can you tell us something people would be surprised to find out about you?
Both of my parents worked at the BBC, so as a child I appeared in a few television programmes. The most well known is ‘Some Mothers Do ‘Ave Em’, I was baby Jessica in the Christmas Special. One I really remember doing was ‘The Onedin Line’ and that is only as I had a costume for that one, very important when you are 5 or 6!
What items is always in your bag/pocket?
Lip balm, I have so many in handbags, pockets, drawers
Who is one person you would want to be stuck in an elevator with?
Stephen Fry – I have always thought that he would be a good dinner party guest, loads to talk about and keep you distracted about being stuck in a lift
What is on the top of your bucket list?
I would love to go to Borneo to see the Orangutans. I think they are the most beautiful, intelligent and gentle creatures
If you won £20 million on the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Sport plays a major part in my family’s life and I love to see the benefits it brings to people, so I think I would have to invest in some kinds of sports provision, available to all
What is the scariest thing you have ever done for fun?
I am not really a thrill seeker, but in my twenties I did learn to scuba dive. Not really very scary, but great fun. Sadly I didn’t keep the qualification up, but my daughter now wants to learn, so maybe we could do it together!
Check back in next month for our next colleague spotlight!
