Person Centred Plans are about supporting people to achieve their personal goals in a way that works for them. We want to make sure that the support we provide is outcome based and enables people to look after their health and wellbeing, including their mental health.
Surrey Choices Colleagues, Kelly Morris and Adam Surmon have been working on virtual quizzes that are Person Centred to each individual.
The aim of this is to get everyone involved in taking part in the quiz and to answer questions on subjects that they are interested in.
Kelly hopes this will boost the confidence of everyone in the group. Increasing confidence is an important part of each individual reaching their outcome based goal.
The virtual quiz has also meant that people Kelly supports have been able to see each other online throughout the last lockdown. Kelly said:
“They have all enjoyed seeing their friends online, and this has had a big impact on their mental health.”
Kelly and Adam have been so proud of the group’s engagement and the growth in their confidence, that they surprised the group by delivering Easter Eggs and a card to their doors.
