Employment Support For Young People

We offer specialised programmes for young people from 16-24 years old with a range of support needs, helping them move into work through our EmployAbility programmes. The aim of these programmes is to prepare disabled, neurodivergent and autistic people for employment. We have programmes to support those with or without Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCP).

We understand that finding the right next step after school or college can feel complex, and that every young person’s journey is different. If your young person has an EHCP, their SEND Caseworker will usually be involved in discussing options and making a referral to Surrey Choices. If you don’t have a Caseworker, that’s absolutely fine — our team can help you understand the best route into our programmes and what support is available.

Once referred, we work with each person individually to identify the most suitable programme, helping them to develop skills, confidence and independence as they progress towards work.

For adults, we offer a range of programmes to support people on their journey into work.

We provide specific route travel training for the people using our services. To find out more about this look at our Independent Travel Training information.
