Title: HR Advisor – Project Support (fixed term)
Reports to: HR and Organisational Development Manager
Accountable to: Chief Finance and Resources Officer
Location: Flexible, can be home based
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full time)
Salary: £29,000 to £30,770 per annum

Job Purpose

As part of a small but busy HR team, the role of the HR Advisor is to provide proactive and
comprehensive advice and support to the business. To support managers with HR
processes such as absence management, performance management, disciplinary and
grievance processes. To support and coordinate HR projects, supporting the HR and
Organisational Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

● Answering staff queries in relation to their employment in a professional and timely
fashion
● Provide support and advice to managers on all aspects of employment relations
including Bullying and Harassment, Conduct, Performance Management, Grievance,
and Disciplinary, in line with company policy, employment law and best practice.
● To assist managers in managing and reducing sickness levels
● Prepare and analyse HR data
● Ensuring documentation sent is legal, accurate and timely, and stored appropriately
● Managing family leave processes
● Supporting and coordinating ad hoc HR projects to deliver transformation across the
Organsiation inline with the Joint Strategic Plan.
● Supporting the HR Business Partner in the implementation of organisational changes
● Maintaining spreadsheets and HRIS with a high degree of accuracy
● Supporting managers in recruitment and on-boarding
● To build strong working relationships with managers; influence, coach and upskill in
people management across the business.
● Liaison with Croner (and / or other business partners) for advice and guidance
regarding all employment law matters relating to issues that may result in an
employment tribunal
● Providing guidance and support to the HR Administrator

● Ensuring HR and Recruitment systems are well managed and up to date.
● At all times ensure strict confidentiality and adherence to data protection, and in the
future, GDPR.
● Highlight any concerns or risks to the business, to the HR Business Partner in a
timely fashion
● Any other duties appropriate to the post as required by the manager.
