Mette Le Jakobsen

Managing Director

Mette’s role as Managing Director of Surrey Choices is to lead the company operationally and strategically, based on strong values, always with customers at the centre of everything we do, working closely with our main partners, including Surrey County Council.

Mette also sits on the National Care Forum Board as a Non Executive Director.

She is a qualified and registered social worker and has a Masters Degree in Advanced Social Work Studies. Mette has 30 years’ experience in social care across local government, NHS, and Local Authority Trading Company sectors.

Mette is particularly interested in finding effective ways to co-produce outcomes with people with disabilities, leading change by ensuring people have a voice and can take a lead on finding solutions.

Mette brings with her to Surrey Choices a positive approach to problem solving, a desire to celebrate people and their achievements and strong, transparent and visible leadership.

Mette’s aim is for the people supported by Surrey Choices to be active and engaged citizens leading healthy and productive lives, and for Surrey Choices to grow stronger and stronger as an organisation known for its quality and compassion, progressiveness and expertise.
