Direction Radio Meet the Team at Sutton Common Rovers FC

Surrey Choices’ Direction Radio got the chance to meet with players at Sutton Common Rovers FC as the shirt sponsor for their away kit.

The communal partners for Sutton Common Rovers FC all went into a draw to win the away sponsorship and Direction Radio came out on top. The sponsorship deal has strengthened the relationship between Surrey Choices’ Direction Radio and Sutton Common Rovers FC, as they also recently completed a deal involving regular sports slots on the show and presenters visiting the football club and interviewing the team.

Christmas Tree Festival of Gifts

Surrey Choices customers at Woking Resource Centre have decorated a Christmas Tree which has been displayed at the United Reform Church, Dorking Christmas Tree Festival of Gifts.

The entry by Surrey Choices and Woking Resource centre is displayed in the church and is among a display of 30 Christmas Trees, each provided by different groups from around the area.

Customers from Dorking Community group celebrated the last session of Community Golf in Christmas Style. The Autumn League concluded this week with 19 sites competing for top place.  It was great to have five new Surrey Choices sites compete, with DorkingCommunity Project and Woking Community Group taking second and third spots respectively, behind Woodmansterne Project…

Surrey Choices Customer is Hoping to S‘elf’ Improve This Festive Period

An EmployAbility customer from Surrey Choices is aiming to s‘elf’ improve this festive period as he hopes to become one of Santa’s helpers. Nick Walewski, who has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair, has been involved with Surrey Choices EmployAbility service for over a year.

He desperately wants to fulfil an ambition to play the part of an elf in the run up to Christmas and is on the lookout for a suitable place to try out his ‘elfing’skills.

Surrey Choices EmployAbility, which supports Nick, has launched a search to help fulfil his Christmas wish.

Surrey Choices Celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Surrey Choices celebrated with an inspirational story for the UN International day of persons with disabilities.

The 3rd December 2015 is the UN International day of persons with disabilities, with the theme this year of inclusion and employment.

To mark this awareness day, Surrey Choices celebrated the achievements of an incredible young man, Anton Brown, who not only conquered Mount Snowdon this year but has also started working for Surrey Choices to inspire others to keep fit and active.
