Ashford and St Peter’s support young people with learning disabilities to help with life and work skills

Seven students with learning disabilities from Brooklands College celebrated with a lunch together and a cake baked by one of the students after completing a six month work placement at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals as part of their Learning for Employment And Progression (LEAP) Pathway Entry 3 course, with the support of the Surrey Choices EmployAbility team.

The Woking Bike Project in Sheerwater is available to anyone living within the Maybury and Sheerwater area with a barrier to work.

This 12 week work experience course run by EmployAbility and the Woking Bike Project will support you in learning new skills ready for work or full time volunteering. The course covers how to fix a bike, ways to keep your customers happy and the basics of running a shop.
