Seven students with learning disabilities from Brooklands College celebrated with a lunch together and a cake baked by one of the students after completing a six month work placement at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals as part of their Learning for Employment And Progression (LEAP) Pathway Entry 3 course, with the support of the Surrey Choices EmployAbility team.

The Surrey Choices Ashford Office Project, which provides office based training and work experience for people with disabilities, has received a £4500 grant from the Heathrow Community Fund’s for Youth grants programme.
Work is well underway to spruce up a new space for our office project to move into in Guildford.
The project is already creating work experience opportunities; it was great to see people we support trying their hands at a new skill while lending a hand with the painting and decorating, working alongside our contractors.
