Celebrating 25 years of EmployAbility
This time 25 years ago, EmployAbility was rolling out as a one year pilot. Fast forward to 2023, it is a thriving and ever expanding service, dedicated to overcoming employment barriers and supporting disabled and autistic people into work.
We have seen many colleagues come and go over the years, but all have left their mark in making a difference to the lives of someone they support, their family members as well as the employers providing these opportunities.
- 100 people are supported into paid work each year
- 300 people are supported into unpaid placements each year
Employers
Over the last 25 years, Surrey Choices has worked with hundreds of employers, supporting individuals in the workplace. You can listen to a few of them here as they discuss their partnership with Surrey Choices and the people we support.
Customers
We caught up with Andrew, who works at Sainsburys in Leatherhead. He is supported by our EmployAbility team and has been in paid work since 1994!
These are just few of the hundreds of employers we work with, whilst supporting individuals into the workplace. The service continues to grow and we look forward to seeing many more life changing outcomes!
