Individual Spotlight: Roger
Charlotte began work experience at Animal Magic in Godalming whilst she was completing her Dog Grooming Level 3 Qualification at Merrist Wood. She learnt a range of techniques such as clipping, brushing, scissoring, washing and drying dogs safely. Her work experience came to an end and she had passed her Level 3.
Her Employment Support Specialist helped Charlotte to call around Dog Groomers in the local area to find new opportunities. She was offered work experience at Aunty Esme’s Grooming, so she could get used to the new working environment. After a few months, she was offered a paid job.
Charlotte told us:
“I have been dog grooming for over 5 years and it is great. I have been washing and drying big and small dogs, from Huskies and German Shepherds to Cavapoos and Labradors. The best part is working with dogs all day long.”
