My Hero Award

To celebrate the winner’s of our Recognising You: The Colleague Awards 2020, Surrey Choices’ Managing Director Mette Le Jekabson announced the winners of each category through a personal video congratulating them on their achievements. These videos can be found on the Surrey Choices Facebook page.

The Surrey Choices My Hero Award was for the people we support, their families and Carers to nominate employees of Surrey Choices who have made a real difference to them and who have gone the extra mile.

The person that nominated Jo told us that:

Jo has incredible commitment to providing the people she supports opportunities to gain independence and become part of their community. She is excellent at listening to what people want to learn and achieve, and provides the chance for them to do this. She understands the needs of the people she supports and is able to encourage them in a caring and kind way to set and reach new goals.
