National Supported Internship Day 2023

L joined Surrey Choices EmployAbility on the Supported Internship Programme in September 2022. L is a happy and positive individual who is willing to try anything. With such a great attitude, L quickly and successfully secured a paid role at a supermarket three days a week. L had support in place for her initial training which helped her settle in. Her manager has also reported back saying that:

L is coming along very well in their role, learning the tasks, working independently, and always keeping up to date with relevant e-learning

L meets regularly with her Employment Support Specialist to complete workbooks towards the Supported Internship programme. She is building on knowledge and understanding of workplace rules and practices, adhering to the standards expected of her.

L has shown great courage, enthusiasm and fantastic work ethic throughout the programme. L’s confidence is growing and she feels ready to start a new chapter to further her independence by working towards gaining a driver’s license.
