Oliver wants to enhance his responsibility, he is a hard worker and wants to learn new skills. To help further his experience within The Growth Team, he was given his own project to manage. He was responsible for recreating a dead hedge at one of the sites where the Growth Team work.
Making the decisions
Oliver had to decide what tools he needed, what materials he needed, how much help he needed from the team, who did what tasks as well as make decisions regarding the construction of the hedge.
Developing leadership skills
Oliver learnt an array of skills including:
- Communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Logistics
- Decision making
The team and his father were very impressed with how Oliver led the project and the outcome is stunning. The landlord was very pleased and has now asked Oliver to create another dead hedge on another part of the site.
