Action for Carers Surrey supports Carers of all ages, right across Surrey, with information, emotional support, and advice. If you are looking after a friend or family member who could not manage without your help, they can support you.

Just Keep Swimming

Community Support Worker, Patrick Allen, is currently swimming 1000 lengths of a pool to raise money for Action for Carers. He came up with the idea when he supported some of the people we support to do a sponsored swim.

Personal Meaning

Action for Carers is a cause close to Patrick’s heart, as he has used their services in the past.

When you are a Carer and cannot get out, meeting other Carers and being able to talk about your experience is so important and really helps your mental health

Patrick is hoping to complete the swim by December 2022. So far, Patrick has raised over £60 in sponsors from other swimmers and their families at Farnham Leisure Centre, where he is completing the swim, but he hopes to raise more.
