Surrey Choices renews Disability Confident Leader status

Last week, Farnham Community Group were invited to Hale Community Centre’s Volunteer Christmas Celebration. The group travel by public transport once a month to volunteer at the Community Fridge, where they help with tasks such as making up food and home essential parcels for local families, cleaning, rotating food and checking expiration dates.
They have been doing this for about eight months and met many people from the local area.
The group were delighted to be recognised for the work they do and meet with all fifty of the other volunteers, where they talked about the work they collectively do to support people in need. They had a great afternoon and are looking forward to continuing their volunteering efforts next year.
