Shortlisted awards for individuals at Surrey Choices
We are delighted to announce that some people supported by Surrey Choices have been shortlisted as finalists for the Learning Disability and Autism List 2021.
The Learning Disability and Autism Leaders List recognises the outstanding contribution of individuals and groups who are making a difference. The following people we support are finalists:
- Rhythmic Collision Dance Company, for their inclusive and empowering performances within the community.
- Ross in EmployAbility, for his bravery and hard work as a Key Worker in a hospital during the pandemic.
- Nick and Matt from the East Growth Team, for their collaborative community partnership with Helping Hands that is transforming vulnerable resident’s gardens, improving shared areas and building friendships on the Cromwell Estate next to the Longmead Hub.
Nick told us “I am overwhelmed that we are getting noticed for what we are doing. I have never been put forward for an award before. This is really great. Thank you!”
The Learning Disability and Autism Leaders List is published by Dimensions in partnership with Learning Disability England and Voluntary Organisations Disability Group.
The final list of 100 will be announced on Friday 3 December. We look forward to the outcome. Either way, everyone is a winner!
